Okusa Festival opens
23/09/11
The Okusa Festival association (literally "festival of taste"), the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity and the Slow Food Goradze Convivium are presenting the new edition of the Ustikolina Festival of Taste, held September 23 and 24, 2011, in Bosnia. The festival, first held in 2009, features some small local producers who will be presenting the fruits of their daily work: vegetables, cereals, milk and dairy products, fruit, honey and much more. Among the producers will be representatives from the Pogezaca Plum Slatko and the Cheese in a Sack local Presidia (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and from the Croatian Ljubitovica šarac Garlic Presidium, together with a delegation from Slow Food Veneto and Slow Food Emilia Romagna (Italy). The rich program will be completed by the tasting of some traditional Italian and Bosnian dishes, which will be served in a dedicated area of the event. This space, named "Let's eat together" is aimed at promoting local cuisine and intercultural dialogue through food. Find out more: Erna Subasic
